• Promotion of key industries. Cuba historically had strong industries such as sugar, tobacco, nickel, and tourism. Since this nation has competitive advantage in these industries, the central bank should sponsor these industries in the beginning to upgrade machinery, agricultural and mining tools, and instill new modern beach equipment. These key industries are the industries that will likely to start working effectively first of all and bring in hard currency and gold into Cuba.

• Improvement of public sector services. Public sector services also need to be improved and we should continue investing in healthcare, education and transportation. Bitter as it may sound, we will have to buy foreign cars (Cuba does not produce cars), medical equipment, and possibly invite professors from the neighboring countries if Cuba does not find enough teachers.

• Cuba’s image abroad, especially in the United States. Cuba should constantly work on the ways to improve its image abroad. Cuba already is famous for its athletes in boxing who constantly win competition in the USA. Still Cuba needs to work on the image as a corruption-free, investor-friendly, tourist-waiting country. Corruption thus should be tapped and punished. Bureaucracy should be removed or reduced to allow foreign investors and tourists into the country quickly and easily. The visa procedure should be simplified for certain countries (all first world countries) which Cuba finds as useful trade and political partners. Speaking about making a particular image for the USA, I believe that Cuba should not do that. The USA is smart enough to observe Cuba just like other countries from different perspectives and from reporters in different countries, thus any attempt to trick the USA and make Cuba look good just for the USA would be silly at best. Cuba should have a consistent and congruent image of a country that wants to develop quickly and thus fights bureaucracy, corruption and invites foreign capital. This message would be understood by all countries. No special message should be sent to the USA if Cuba wants to remain an independent country as compared to states in South America who have puppet pro-American presidents.

Afterward, he warned her that if she told anyone, he would kill Bailey Jr. . After learning of this heinous crime to her daughter, Mrs. Baxter took her to the hospital and brought charges against her boyfriend. The charges brought about a jury trial. It was a very frightening time for Maya. After all, she was only 7 1/2 years old. On the witness stand, Maya could not admit that she had let Mr. Freeman touch her inappropriately, so she lied when asked the question by his lawyer. Because of her denial, Mr. Freeman was only given one year and one day, but he never got a chance to do his time. His lawyer got him released that very afternoon.

The next morning his body was found beaten to death behind the alley. It was rumored that Maya's uncles had been guilty of this crime. Upon learning of Mr. Freeman's death, Maya felt that her lying caused him to die. She also felt that she had forfeited her place in heaven forever; she thought that she had sold herself to the devil with no escape. So at this moment, she decided to stop talking to everyone except for Bailey Jr. She is mute for five years. The family related this behavior to post-rape trauma or hospital phobia. Shortly thereafter, Maya and Bailey Jr.

returned to Stamps, Arkansas. There she continued to be silent. Back home in Stamps, Maya was made acquaintance to a charming lady by the name of Mrs. Bertha Flowers. There she learned the craft of dancing and acting very well. Soon after, she found employment as the first black San Francisco streetcar conductor, but life in California was still awkward. Maya's physical appearance caused her to question her own femininity. She thought herself to be a lesbian. She began to wonder if sexual intercourse with a male was the answer. To satisfy her curiosity, Maya chose to have sexual relations with a boy from the neighborhood that she barely knew. This resulted in her giving birth to a baby boy. For several years, Microsoft was under investigation by the Federal Trade Commission for anti-competitive business practices based on charges that the company had used it overwhelming size to crush the competition" (American Decades 2001). Netscape, Apple, and Intel have all fallen victim to Microsoft's gigantic corporation. In one case, Intel had developed a technology that threatened Windows's software standards. Gates threatened to cut Windows support of Intel Pentium Processors if Intel did not cease to work on the developing technology. Judge Jackson decided that Microsoft had to be split up into two separate companies, one that developed Microsoft Windows and one that developed the other Microsoft software such as Encarta and Office. Gates's illegal ways used to eliminate competition and establish a monopoly shows that Gates is a punk.

Gates is a punk because his determined plans to advance computer technology were unheard of. When Bill Gates was born, less than 500 computers existed in the world. The main focus in the computer world was hardware and the term "software" was unknown. Bill Gates saw this opportunity and took advantage of it, creating Microsoft and becoming the richest person in the world. "As of 1999, Gates was worth at least $87.5 billion dollars." Also, Gates is not a punk because he has set up two huge foundations, the William H. Gates Foundation and the Gates Learning Foundation, to fund charitable and philanthropic work, offering over 6 billion dollars of money. Gates and his wife, Melinda, also launched the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation "to support philanthropic initiatives in global health, especially in the Third World, and in education, especially in the inner cities and low-income communities of the United States and Canada" (American Decades 1990-1999 2003). Even though this is true, Gates is still a punk because he acquired this huge wealth by means of illegal methods. Gates is a punk because he violated anti-trust laws and established a monopoly over the computer software industry. Not only did he establish a monopoly, he also eliminated competition by using threats and bribes, resulting in an anti-trust case regarding Microsoft's monopoly over the software industry.
